Day 01:
Arrival at Delhi Upon arrival at Delhi our
representative will meet and assist you at the Airport
and transfer you to your hotel. Overnight stay will be
at hotel.
Day 02: Delhi
Breakfast follows a sight seeing tour of the Delhi city.
Delhi, the capital of India, has lon g been the
center of political and cultural activities. Delhi has
been the center of power and politics for thousands of
years now. It has resulted into the development of a
rich cultural heritage, which is reflected in the form
of architectural edifices such as Qutub Minar, Humayun
tomb, Birla temple, Red Fort, India Gate and much more.
Your sightseeing will cover all the abovementioned
structures as well as the Rashtrapati Bhavan, Parliament
House, Jama Masjid and Chandni Chowk. To relive the past
of Delhi you can catch the sound and light show held at
the Red Fort/Old fort in the evening. Overnight stay
will be at hotel.
Day 03: Delhi - Agra
After breakfast you will be picked up from the hotel and
driven to Agra, the city of the Taj Mahal. On your way
to Agra you will stop for a brief time at Sikandra.
Sikandra is known for the massive red sandstone
and marble tomb of the Mughal Emperor Akbar. The tomb of
Akbar at Sikandara exhibits a unique blend of Hindu and
Islamic arch itectural styles. Upon arrival at Agra you
will check into hotel. Afternoon will be visit the
city of the Taj Mahal! After breakfast our
representative will pick you up from the hotel for a
full day sight seeing tour of Agra.
Agra is synonymous with the Taj Mahal, the
epitome of love and romance. The Taj Mahal was built by
the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved
wife, Mumtaj Mahal. The city of Agra also boasts of some
other monuments such as the Red fort and the tomb of
It-mad-Ud-Daulah, the tomb of Emperor Jehangir's
father-in-law. Overnight stay will be at Hotel in Agra.
Day 04: Agra - Jaipur
It's time to say good-bye to the Taj Mahal and head
towards another fascinating destination, Jaipur (the
Pink City). After breakfast you will proceed to Jaipur
by road, visiting Fatehpur Sikri on the way.
Fatehpur Sikri boasts of some wonderful monuments
that were built during the Mughal rule. The buildings at
Fatehpur Sikri present a unique blend of Hindu and
Islamic architecture. The town of Fatehpur Sikri served
as the capital of the Mughal Empire for a few years
before being abandoned due to scarcity of water. Some of
the highlights at Fatehpur Sikri include the Panch Mahal
(Palace of Five Storeys), Buland Darwaza and Dargah of
Sheikh Salim Chisti. Upon arrival at Jaipur, check in at
the hotel and proceed for a sight seeing tour of Jaipur
in the afternoon.
Jaipur, also called the Pink City i s the capital
of Rajasthan state. Raja Jai Singh founded the city of
Jaipur. Jaipur is known for its rich cultural heritage
and boasts of some magnificent structures that include
the Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar (observatory), the City
Palace and the Amber fort. Overnight stay will be at
hotel in Jaipur.
Day 06: Jaipur
After breakfast, you will set out to explore the Amber
fort (ascending the fort on elephant's back). Amber Fort
is an architectural delight and consists of some
prominent buildings such as the Diwani-i-am, Kali Temple
and Jai Mandir along with magnificent marble palaces and
gardens. You will have free time in the afternoon.
Overnight stay will be at hotel.
Day 07: Jaipur - Delhi
After a memorable tour of Agra, Delhi and Jaipur, it is
time to say goodbye. You will be driven back to Delhi
for train/flight for onward journey. |
